UK Unemployment posts a large increase on weaker economy |

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) – United Kingdom's labour market has seen a decrease in both., people in employment and in the employment rate, as a signal that the economic slowdown UK’s economy is going through is starting to have its impact on the labour market.
The Ilo unemployment rate has increased to9 a 5.5% level in the three months to June, from 5.3% in the quarter to June, on the back of a increase by 81,000 in the number of unemployed workers. The claimant count rate has posted a 32,500 increase from the previous quarter, and it stands now at 904,900; 2.8% of the workforce, up from the 2.7% in the previous quarter, while the umber of vacancies declined by 56,900.
Average earnings including bonuses have increased 3.5%, up from the 3.4% rise posted in the previous quarter. Excluding bonuses, wages have risen by 3.7% at the same pace than in the previous quarter.
